AACEP Standards of Conduct

3651 Lindell Rd, Suite D-218 · Las Vegas, NV 89103 · TEL: (702) 932-7977
info@americanestateplanners.com

The AACEP will hold estate and financial planners to a standard of conduct expected by the public. Clients of estate planners expect a high degree of trust and integrity, as in most cases the client discloses to the planner very personal and confidential information. The AACEP will cancel the certification of any planner for misconduct or the commission of any of the following:

  1. Engages in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation.

  2. Commits a criminal act that reflects adversely on the planner's honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a planner.

  3. Knowingly promotes to clients any scheme or plan whose purpose is to evade taxes not based on some valid legal basis or regulation.

  4. Any other conduct determined by the AACEP board to reflect dishonorably on the profession of estate and financial planning.
In the event of a complaint filed against a planner, the AACEP will conduct a thorough investigation, and afford due process to the planner to refute said claim.
